Lineups

Create and manage game lineups with the help of AI or manually. The lineup system helps coaches plan field positions, bench rotations, and innings for every game.

AI Lineup Generator

The AI lineup generator creates optimal lineups based on player preferences, positions, and rotation rules. It considers each player's favorite positions and ensures fair bench time distribution.

Smart Position Matching

Players are matched to their top 3 preferred positions first, then fallback to other playable positions.

Automatic Rotation

For each new inning, the AI rotates players between field and bench, prioritizing those who spent more time on the bench.

Fair Bench Time

The AI tracks bench time and ensures all players get roughly equal playing time across innings.

Manual Lineup

Override AI suggestions and manually assign players to positions. Use the dropdown selectors to pick different players for each position. The system warns you if a player is assigned twice.

Lineup Settings

Configure rotation rules that apply to all lineups. These settings can be adjusted per game.

Pitcher Rotation

Set how often the pitcher rotates (default: every 2 innings).

Max Outfield Innings

Limit how long a player stays in the outfield (default: 2 innings).

Bench Rotation Strategy

Choose between even distribution or other rotation modes for bench players.

Catcher Restriction

Prevent the catcher from pitching immediately after catching.

Inning Management

Add Inning

Add a new inning to the lineup. The AI automatically generates the optimal rotation for the new inning based on previous innings.

Swap Players

Manually swap players between positions within an inning to make last-minute adjustments.

Delete Inning

Remove an inning from the lineup. Subsequent innings are renumbered automatically.
