How to read these numbers: cards marked "Reference" show an estimate per age that we compiled from the public sources on the Sources & References page (Rapsodo averages-by-age guides, Driveline Baseball and peer-reviewed research on youth pitching). Not every age has a direct value in a source, so treat these as a rough guide, not a measured average. Pitch speed is fastball speed at release, exit velocity is ball speed off the bat, both in mph. Reference data last updated: October 29, 2026.
